Azilal rugs are from the Azilal region, located in the Atlas mountains of Morocco. Berber women manufacture the rugs by hand on wooden looms. Their making is the fruit of a long tradition, transmitted only by women in each family. They develop elements of their lives in the designs : the geometry of the urg follows their inspiration !
Azilal rugs are made of pure wool, with colorful designs which can be dyed wool and colored threads. Azilal rugs combine the colors of Boucherouite rugs and designs of Beni Ouarain.
Care Tips : regular maintenance with a soft dry brush to remove dust. Don’t hesitate to turn it over and flipping it regularly! In case of stains, immediately wash it off with soap and water. The carpet may lose few hair after delivery, do not worry : this is just woolen threads stuck during weaving.
